Target Audience: Licensed Early Intervention providers who have received clearance from their Local EI Program(s) to complete onboarding training for AT Consultant responsibilities. Includes PTs, OTs, SLPs, and DIs.

Description: The Assistive Technology in Early Intervention learning pathway was compiled by Tech for Tykes for the purpose of training any licensed EI provider who is interested in becoming an AT Consultant to support the AT needs of their Local EI Program(s). All modules must be completed before you can be added to the list of active AT Consultants with borrowing privileges from the statewide AT loan library for your own caseload and on behalf of other providers in your Local EI Program(s). AT Consultants will receive a certificate of completion for 4 hours of professional development once all modules have been completed.


This module provides an overview of the benefits and application of assistive technology to support infants and toddlers with disabilities. Topics include definitions and examples of assistive technology, assessment and intervention processes, documentation and funding. It is highly recommended to start with this module when taking this training.

This training is designed to be an overview of the provision of assistive technology (AT) services in early intervention (EI) in Colorado for providers who want to become AT Consultants.

The purpose of this training is to provide information on the benefits and application of assistive technology to support play and interaction for young children with disabilities.

This module provides an overview of using the AT loan library. You will receive the access code for this course once your signed loan library agreement has been returned to Tech for Tykes. You must complete this module and pass the quiz to begin requesting AT loans.
